How it works for organisers
You share one link, add dates, tap to book and confirm. Your singers do everything from their own calendar or inbox.
-
1
Start a group
Sign up and create your group, say Riverside Singers.
Your singers: Nothing yet.
-
2
Invite your singers
Copy the group's join link and post it in your group chat.
Your singers: A page asking for their name and email, then a "Join Riverside Singers" invite. Tapping Yes confirms their email and tells their calendar to trust Fixing Buddy.
-
3
Add your dates
Fill in what, when, the venue (search for it, or tap one you've used before) and any notes, then press Add date. Each date waits on your grid, marked Not sent yet, where you can edit or delete it. When the set looks right, press Send holds.
Your singers: Nothing until you press Send holds. Then a "HOLD? Evensong" invite for each date, in their calendar with the venue, notes and a map link.
-
4
Watch the answers
Yes, Maybe and No appear in your grid under each date. A * means they left a note.
Your singers: They answer from the invite, or on their My dates page if they'd rather not use a calendar. The link in your emails shows only your group's dates. If they sing with more than one group, "Email me my link" sends them a link (good for 7 days) to all their dates together, with a warning when two groups' dates clash. Only they see that. Deleting a note on its own doesn't tell Fixing Buddy, so to clear it they change their answer (in their calendar or on My dates), or send a new note from their calendar to replace it.
-
5
Book
Tap someone's answer to book them. Tap again to undo.
Your singers: Nothing until you confirm.
-
6
Change the notes or venue
Press Edit notes or Change venue under the date, and Save and send.
Your singers: An "Updated" email, and the entry in their calendar changes in place. Their answer stays as it was.
-
7
Confirm
Press Confirm under the date.
Your singers: Booked singers: the hold becomes the real event. Everyone else: a short "not needed" note, and the hold disappears.
Good to know
- Put a concert and its rehearsals in one production when you add the dates, and tick Compulsory on the ones everyone must make (the concert, a tutti rehearsal). The other dates' holds only go to people who have said Yes or Maybe to every compulsory date. Anyone who says No to one, or isn't booked for it, is greyed out across that production, and its other holds come back out of their calendar. Booking them anyway sends them again. Add a production's dates in any order, then send them together: Send holds sends the compulsory ones first. A compulsory date sent later doesn't hold back dates already sent.
- Nudge resends the hold to anyone who hasn't answered.
- Cancel date takes it out of everyone's calendar, including people already booked.
- Removing someone takes their upcoming dates out of their calendar.
- Singers can change their answer any time before you confirm.
